There’s a lot in life that feels outside of our control. We all face difficulties, stresses and change which seem imposed on us and it’s easy to get carried along or feel powerless when this happens.
This is where values are essential. They help people to connect to what really matters to them. Values act like a compass, helping us to navigate forward even when waters get choppy.
One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. “Which road do I take?” she asked. “Where do you want to go? was his response. “I don’t know” Alice answered. “Then,” said the cat, “it doesn’t matter.”

Creating your Vision
Before you can achieve anything, you have to know what you want. You have to decide that whatever you’re doing is important to you; that it’s worth it.
And if it isn’t, it’s time to set new, more meaningful goals. This is true for you whether you’re thinking about yourself, your business – or both.
Getting clear on what matters to you is the first step with my clients – to get unstuck and create a direction and move forward with clear purpose.
It can be hard to work out what to do first when you’re faced with things you’d like to solve or change.
I will help you to
- See yourself more clearly and become aware of your strengths and weaknesses
- Identify factors that are holding you back, understand these and how you could change them
- Create an awareness of the things that are not effective for you and are harming your moving forward
And then we can move forward.
Having clarified what motivates you and what you want to achieve, I will help you to think through what may be causing any blockages and help you develop potential routes that will open up the opportunities you want to pursue and create the changes you want.
I will help you to clarify milestones and measures of your success.
By this stage you will be clear on what you want to do, why you haven’t done it yet and how to create that change you so desire.
Values based coaching means you will achieve the things that really matter to you .
“I was a little nervous about setting goals to begin with, because even I didn’t know what I wanted! Maggie was brilliant (and patient!) at getting me to write a goal down. We spent a lot of time doing exercises to try and get to the bottom of what I wanted to achieve. The goal posts also changed along the way and Maggie always made me feel that this way okay and not something to be concerned about.”
